ZetaChain Proposal to Burn Approximately 55 Million ZETA, Commits Not to Sell Foundation's Newly Unlocked Tokens Through 2027

Odaily: ZetaChain has announced that it has submitted a second governance proposal regarding the migration of ZETA to Solana, and voting is now open. According to the proposal, the project plans to burn a cumulative total of approximately 55 million ZETA through monthly scheduled burns in 2027, in order to reduce the total token supply.

In addition, ZetaChain has committed not to sell any newly unlocked ZETA from the foundation's allocated share throughout 2027. After the migration is completed, ZETA will no longer be subject to additional issuance, and the token minting authority will be permanently revoked.

According to the plan, ZETA is scheduled to migrate to Solana at a 1:1 ratio on December 9, 2026, with the specific implementation still subject to governance vote approval. This voting period lasts 72 hours and will end on November 7.
