Odaily: Bitcoin Treasuries posted on X that Strategy's Chaitanya Jain said: "The company's goal is to double its Bitcoin holdings per share over 7 years on a rolling basis, which means achieving approximately 10% growth in Bitcoin holdings per share each year. For long-term investors, Bitcoin holdings per share is the ultimate metric for measuring the company's direction and performance."
Odaily reports that at 05:49 Beijing Time, USDC Treasury minted an additional 250 million USDC on the Solana network.
Odaily reports that a poll shows approximately 69% of Democrats and 61% of Republicans oppose using prediction markets to bet on U.S. elections, military actions, and policy announcements, with only 8% and 9% respectively supporting such betting. Respondents consider such markets unethical, socially corrosive, and potentially harmful to national security. The prediction market industry, led by Polymarket and Kalshi, continues to expand, and policymakers are concerned that related platforms may open new channels for insider trading and manipulation.
Odaily News: Blur posted on X that the blur.io frontend will be deprecated on November 12, 2026. This deprecation only involves the frontend; the Blur marketplace protocol will continue to run on-chain, and BLUR will still control its fee switch. The NFT lending protocol Blend will stop matching new loans on the same day. Borrowers must repay their loans before then or let them default; after that, Blur will provide frontend tools to help users withdraw assets from Blend. Blur also reminded users to beware of impersonating accounts and fake announcements. BLUR is currently trading at $0.0194, down 7.75% in 24 hours.
Odaily News: Fairshake-affiliated entities Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress have spent a combined $2.7 million to support Democratic and Republican candidates running for U.S. House seats in 2026. The spending comes 22 days before the U.S. midterm elections.
The expenditures include over $76,000 in supportive advertising for House Majority Whip Tom Emmer and $73,000 for House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn Thompson; California Representative Pete Aguilar and New Jersey Representative Josh Gottheimer received $512,000 and $500,000 in support, respectively.
Fairshake announced days ago that it plans to support 32 additional House candidates in 2026, with 6 of them each receiving $1 million in supportive media placements. As of August, Fairshake held $122 million in cash and planned to allocate at least $30 million in media spending to oppose Sherrod Brown's run for the Ohio Senate seat.
All of the aforementioned candidates voted in 2025 to support the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act). The bill aims to establish market structure rules for cryptocurrencies and expand the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) regulatory enforcement authority, but it failed a Senate procedural vote in September. Odaily News: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) noted in Chapter 3 of its October 2026 Global Financial Stability Report that, as of July 31, excluding repurchase agreements and stablecoins, the scale of tokenized real-world assets reached approximately $65.1 billion, including $30.4 billion in tokenized credit, $17.5 billion in money market funds, and $2.3 billion in tokenized equities.
The report pointed out that automatic liquidation, instant settlement, continuous trading, and programmable collateral could accelerate forced liquidations and amplify financial shocks when markets come under stress. The cross-platform reuse of collateral could also increase leverage, causing risks to transmit more rapidly across different institutions and markets.
The IMF identified legal certainty, regulatory clarity, blockchain network interoperability, and reliable settlement assets as four obstacles to the broader adoption of tokenized markets, and recommended adopting technology-neutral regulation, strengthening oversight, implementing circuit breakers, and preventing instability from automatic liquidation. Odaily reports: Blockchain project Tempo has released a report stating that the U.S. Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) is proposing to adjust stablecoin accounting rules, allowing qualifying tokens to be classified as cash equivalents on corporate balance sheets, potentially reducing accounting barriers to corporate stablecoin adoption.
Under current accounting practices, stablecoins—even when fully backed by U.S. dollars—may not qualify for inclusion in a company's reported cash reserves, thereby affecting liquidity ratios and loan covenants. The proposed rules would allow companies to use stablecoins for payments and settlements, but would require them to have direct redemption rights against the issuer.
Purchasing USDC through an exchange may not necessarily qualify for cash equivalent recognition. In its 2025 annual report, Coinbase classified USDC and other payment-type stablecoins as cash equivalents, based on its redemption arrangement with Circle.
The public comment period for the FASB's proposed rules will run until November 19, after which the board will review feedback and determine the final accounting changes and effective date. The proposal comes as the market size of USD stablecoins has surpassed $300 billion. (Cointelegraph)

Starknet says it has compared the quantum security readiness of 10 networks.
Odaily: Aptos announced on X that the encrypted mempool is now live on the Aptos mainnet. Users can opt in on a per-transaction basis, keeping pending transactions encrypted until the block they are in is finalized. The functions being called and their input parameters remain private until execution, though the sender and gas fees are still visible, thereby reducing the risk of MEV attacks. This feature is designed for institutions, traders, and AI agents, helping prevent large orders from exposing trading intent before execution.
Odaily News: Publicly traded Bitcoin mining companies are expected to need approximately $50 billion to complete their planned AI infrastructure projects, with IREN, Riot Platforms, and HIVE Digital facing funding gaps of approximately $21.1 billion, $7.2 billion, and $4.6 billion, respectively.
As Bitcoin mining companies expand into AI and high-performance computing, borrowing costs vary depending on clients, contracts, and project completion pathways. IREN secured $3.65 billion in GPU financing in June at a blended interest rate of 6%; in August, it obtained an additional $2.4 billion in fixed-rate financing at a 9% interest rate.
Financing arrangements may also include costs beyond interest. In one Cipher Digital deal, Google agreed to backstop $1.4 billion in lease obligations and received warrants representing 5.4% equity in Cipher; if the warrants are exercised, existing shareholders' ownership stakes could be diluted.
According to VanEck data, at the Bitcoin bull market peak last October, mining companies' debt had grown by approximately 500% compared to the second quarter of 2024. Despite a weakening Bitcoin market, capital demand continues to rise as mining companies pivot to AI businesses. (Cointelegraph)
Odaily News: The UK High Court has issued a significant ruling regarding a cross-border asset recovery dispute involving over 61,000 bitcoins linked to the illegal fundraising case of Tianjin Blue Sky Gerui in China. On October 12 local time, a judgment obtained by Caixin from the UK High Court shows that the court determined that property rights claims raised by Chinese investors over the bitcoins in question should be governed by Chinese law rather than English law. This means that approximately 16,000 Chinese victims who have participated in the UK recovery proceedings may be unable to share in the massive appreciation gains from the surge in bitcoin prices through English law, and may at most only recover their principal and interest.
