Odaily reports that Sweden's central bank (Riksbank) has recommended that lawmakers prepare relevant legislation for the possible launch of a digital krona, citing reasons including the European Central Bank's (ECB) advancement of the digital euro and the increasing use of foreign currency stablecoins. In a letter to the parliament's finance committee on October 7, the bank stated that the ECB plans to conduct a digital euro pilot in 2027 and may launch it to the public in 2029.
The Riksbank pointed out that if the payment system lacks a digital version of the national currency, its competitiveness could be affected. The bank believes that foreign currency stablecoins, such as those pegged to the US dollar, being widely used for payments within Sweden could put pressure on the use of the Swedish krona, though short-term risks are limited. The Riksbank estimates that launching the digital krona will take at least five years, not including the time required for legislative changes. (Cointelegraph)
Odaily News: The Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM) has issued Resolution No. 249, launching a tokenized securities pilot program to test the simulation of stock trading and securities issuance, operation, and management on blockchain networks. The project will be conducted in a controlled environment, using stocks and funds that are specially created simulated assets, with no real financial risk involved.
The project will compare the advantages and disadvantages of public chains versus private chains for securities business, and assess risks including cybersecurity, smart contracts, interoperability, and network resilience. Blockchain networks participating in the pilot must encode market rules into smart contracts, ensure privacy in securities operations, and remain subject to regulatory audits.
The CVM will also use AI tools to assist with market monitoring. Brazil's largest stock exchange, B3, is building a tokenization platform, planned for launch in 2027, which will use a proprietary stablecoin. Initially, it will not offer 24/7 trading and will integrate liquidity pools from both digital assets and traditional markets. (Bitcoin.com News)

Odaily reports that the crypto market is caught in a tug-of-war between bulls and bears: on one hand, digital asset analysts remain bullish; on the other hand, the speculative market as a whole is turning defensive, with risk appetite under continued pressure. Bitcoin briefly fell below $80,000 for the first time in nearly a month. Dragged down by the sell-off in the U.S. stock market's AI sector, risk assets broadly retreated, and the bullish sentiment the crypto market had previously attempted to rebuild was once again undermined.
Jeff Anderson, head of STS Digital's U.S. division, said inflation data will "deal a severe blow to risk appetite," while the market is entering a quiet period ahead of the Federal Reserve's policy meeting, with rate expectations still shrouded in uncertainty. Nick Forster, founder of Derive.xyz, said that over the past 24 hours, the market-implied probability of Bitcoin reaching $100,000 by Christmas dropped 2.8 percentage points to 9.7%. He noted that the rapid retreat of long-term bullish bets and the surge in short-term hedging demand indicate that institutional participants are rapidly reassessing macro risk exposure as the interest rate outlook once again becomes murky. Odaily News: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that data center operator CoreWeave's financial condition is improving. Nvidia is CoreWeave's computing equipment supplier. Speaking at an event in Stockholm, Huang said: "CoreWeave's strength is growing every day." He believes there is no need for Nvidia to provide financial guarantees for CoreWeave. "I am optimistic. In fact, their cost of capital is declining."
Previously, confidence in CoreWeave in the credit market had deteriorated, with concerns that its default risk was rising, and Huang is seeking to restore market confidence in the company. CoreWeave is an important case for testing the sustainability of the business models of emerging AI infrastructure companies. These companies have emerged to meet what companies like Nvidia describe as nearly unlimited growth in AI computing demand. Companies such as CoreWeave have borrowed heavily with the support of suppliers including Nvidia, raising market concerns about circular financing creating artificial demand.
Odaily reports that Bitcoin News posted on X that Lewis Barber has filed a lawsuit in the London Commercial Court against BitMEX operator HDR Global Trading, claiming 324.8 BTC, worth approximately $27.2 million. The lawsuit concerns 1,053 losing perpetual contract trades between 2018 and 2022, arguing that HDR Global Trading was not authorized by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to provide UK derivatives services, and therefore the related trades should not be enforceable. BitMEX said the lawsuit has been filed but has not yet been served; the exchange closed in September.

Odaily reports that SIONG posted on X platform stating that Jupiter Labs has launched an experimental high-leverage trading product YOLO, supporting 500x to 1000x leverage. The product draws on the JLP model, simulating positions based on real market prices, but profit and loss actually occur without the need to execute leveraged positions of corresponding scale in the market. YOLO's profits are paid out from a liquidity pool; if the pool's liquidity is insufficient, related payments may be queued rather than settled instantly. SIONG stated that this model differs from traditional perpetual contracts and has its own risks and limitations. YOLO is currently still in its early stages, and the product was launched to provide experimental space for new financial products and trading experiences, with inspiration from PaperTrade.
