The U.S. State Department calls on countries to coordinate in addressing North Korea's cyber threats and enforce sanctions against North Korea
Odaily: According to monitoring by a U.S. State Department spokesperson, it is crucial for governments to coordinate in responding to North Korea's cyber activities. The U.S. State Department spokesperson called on all UN member states to enforce existing sanctions against North Korea, prevent North Korea from raising funds for its weapons programs, and stated that coordinated unilateral sanctions are a powerful tool for blocking financial flows that support weapons proliferation. The spokesperson did not disclose whether the investigation findings have been shared with South Korea or whether bilateral consultations on additional sanctions have taken place. Previously, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation had attributed the Binance hack incident to North Korean hackers.
