Citi Wealth Begins Pitching Spot Bitcoin ETFs to Clients
Odaily Sees: Bitcoin News posted on X that Citi Wealth is currently pitching spot Bitcoin ETFs to its clients. In an October report, Citi described such ETFs as a way to hold Bitcoin through brokerage accounts and allocate it alongside stocks and bonds.
In the two trading days following the Binance hack, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw approximately $1 billion in outflows. Citi had previously committed to launching its institutional-focused Custody+ Bitcoin custody service "later this year" but has not announced a specific date. VanEck's Matthew Sigel said he heard the hack caused the service's launch to be delayed; Citi has not confirmed this claim.
