Fed and OCC Contact U.S. Banks to Assess Cybersecurity Risks
Odaily reports: The U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) began contacting U.S. banks on November 2 to inquire whether they had detected suspicious activity, service disruptions, or cybersecurity vulnerabilities following the hack against Binance. Several major banks have launched internal diagnostics to assess their own cybersecurity defenses.
A banking industry source said their bank had not experienced operational disruptions, but employees had prepared responses for customers; the report also noted that only a few customers had inquired about the situation. (Bitcoin.com News)
