Full Reserves Restored: Liquid Backed by 4,270.54 BTC for Equivalent L-BTC

Odaily reports that according to Bitcoin News monitoring, on September 6, attackers exploited a vulnerability in Elements' range proof verification to issue approximately 4,000 L-BTC without bitcoin reserve backing, causing reserves to drop from about 4,205 BTC to 197. Most of the tokens have been returned, and the final 250 BTC deposited on November 2 filled the gap. SideSwap currently shows that 4,270.54 BTC backs an equivalent amount of L-BTC. Direct redemption through the federation remains restricted, and users need to exit through exchange service providers.
