Supports Basel framework risk classification and regulatory reporting, Bloomberg expands crypto asset exposure analysis capabilities
Odaily reports that on October 22, Bloomberg announced the expansion of its Crypto Exposure Analytics feature, enabling institutions to identify, classify, and report exposures to crypto assets and tokenized real-world assets in accordance with the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision framework. The tool can look through funds, equities, bonds, and derivatives to identify direct and indirect crypto exposure; Bloomberg has identified approximately 1,700 funds that may be relevant to the framework, about half of which do not explicitly list crypto exposure in their investment strategies.
The related analytics are available via Bloomberg Data License and the Bloomberg Terminal. Morgan Stanley said it is using the tool for fund look-through analysis and exposure classification under the Basel framework.
