On the same day, Coinbase also submitted a related proposal to launch perpetual contracts on US individual stocks.
Odaily News: Arron Banks, a senior aide to the UK Reform Party, has stated that if the Labour government further tightens rules on overseas political donations, the party plans to establish the "Allied Computer & Crypto Workers Union (ACCAW)," covering workers in IT, AI, and the crypto industry, in order to raise political funds through union channels.
Previously, crypto industry billionaires Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne each donated £36 million to the UK Reform Party, totaling £72 million. The UK government is advancing new restrictions on overseas donors, and the retroactive application of the relevant rules may affect the compliance of some donations. (Daily Mail)

Odaily News: Universal has officially announced that it will gradually shut down the Universal protocol because user adoption over the past two years has not reached the level needed to sustain the protocol over the long term. The protocol will continue normal operations for the next 60 days, and the existing infrastructure and the underlying asset backing for uAssets will not be affected; during the shutdown period, users can sell uAssets through the Universal app or directly redeem the underlying assets through the minting and redemption interface, and large redemptions can be handled by contacting the team. After November 17, 2026, the protocol will officially close, and remaining uAssets will be redeemed through smart contracts; uSOL, uXRP, uDOGE, uADA, uBTC, and uLTC on Base will each be exchanged for the corresponding bridged assets, while the remaining uAssets will be exchanged for USDC. The final redemption assets and smart contract information will be announced before the shutdown.
Odaily News: According to MultiversX monitoring, attackers attempted to exploit a VM-level atomicity issue, causing invalid state changes on the network. To prevent the incident from escalating further, the network has been paused.
The development team has prepared a fix, which will first be verified in a shadow fork environment; after successful testing, it will be coordinated with validators, exchanges, and infrastructure partners for deployment to mainnet. Currently, the team is evaluating a targeted recovery plan to process only the invalid state changes related to this incident while preserving confirmed transaction history and normal user state.
Users do not need to take any action. Until the official recovery notice is issued, please do not submit or rebroadcast transactions, and do not deposit or withdraw EGLD and ESDT assets through trading platforms or cross-chain bridges. After the incident is resolved and the investigation results are confirmed, MultiversX will release a full technical report.

The attackers approached job seekers through social media and recruitment platforms, luring them into downloading malicious files under the pretext of technical interviews or coding tests. They have infected more than 30,000 devices across over 100 countries and regions and stolen data from more than 7,000 crypto wallets; at least $10.71 million in funds flowed into wallets controlled by the attackers.

Odaily News: Robert Kiyosaki has stated that the "biggest crash in history" in global markets has already begun, starting in Europe and Japan in 2026 and spreading worldwide, with contributing factors including AI speculation, war with Iran, excessive debt, and the retirement of the baby boomer generation.
He said he is preparing through his personal businesses, income-producing real estate, oil producing well investments, as well as Bitcoin, gold, and silver, rather than holding cash, and expects severe financial stress to trigger a new round of money printing.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in April that global public debt as a share of GDP approached 94% in 2025 and is projected to reach 100% by 2029.
Data from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) shows that in 2025, for every 100 people of working age (20 to 64), there are 33 people aged 65 and above, and this is expected to rise to 52 by 2050. (Bitcoin.com News)
Odaily News: According to monitoring and analysis by the Gate security team, the FomoPeek App contains malicious code with high security risks. It may exploit iOS system vulnerabilities to attack other apps and is capable of dangerous operations such as accessing the clipboard, scanning sensitive phone data, and obtaining login credentials. Based on the security team's analysis, no attack losses caused by the FomoPeek App have been found among Gate App or its users so far, and Gate's existing risk control mechanisms are operating normally.
Gate reminds users to upgrade their iOS system to the latest version as soon as possible and check whether the FomoPeek App is installed on their devices. If it is already installed, please uninstall it immediately and restart the phone. After that, it is recommended to log in again to the Gate App and other important applications; if using a Web3 wallet, it is advisable to promptly check the wallet's security status and transfer relevant assets if necessary to reduce potential security risks.
Odaily reports that Strategy founder Michael Saylor posted a statement saying that after the CLARITY Act was blocked, rather than accepting additional restrictions in a final compromise version, the digital asset industry should use the existing authority of the SEC, CFTC, the U.S. Treasury, and banking regulators to push for supportive regulatory rules and accelerate the rollout of digital financial products from 2027 to 2028.
Saylor believes the industry should expand its user base through lower-cost and more convenient Bitcoin holding and collateralization, digital credit, tokenized securities, trading platforms, and stablecoin payments, with the goal of enabling 50 million U.S. users to actually benefit from digital financial products. He said that mass adoption can create a broader foundation of public interest, and that "the best protection for digital innovation is to let the public benefit from it."

Odaily News: On the evening of September 19 local time, Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated that Iran has presented the US government with 7 conditions required to open any negotiations. Iran's message is clear: "If the US wishes to extricate itself from the predicament it created and avoid sinking deeper, then there is no other way but to accept Iran's conditions." Rezaei confirmed in an interview that day that Qatar, as a mediator, has conveyed Iran's negotiating conditions to the US side and is awaiting a response from US President Trump. Rezaei said that Iran's proposed negotiating conditions include the US ending all military actions against Iran, unfreezing frozen Iranian assets, and ending the maritime blockade, among others. Odaily News: Geoff Kendrick, Global Head of Digital Asset Research at Standard Chartered, stated that ARB is expected to reach $10 by the end of 2030. The forecast uses $0.14 as a reference price, approximately 48 times the current price of $0.21; its annual targets also include $0.5 in 2026, $1.5 in 2027, $3.5 in 2028, and $6.5 in 2029.
Arbitrum's monthly revenue for September is projected to reach $5 million, representing a more than 5x increase from before Robinhood Chain's launch. Robinhood Chain launched its public chain mainnet on July 1 based on the Arbitrum platform, targeting tokenized assets and decentralized finance applications; under the Expansion Program, 10% of protocol net revenue is returned to the Arbitrum ecosystem, with 8% going to the ArbitrumDAO treasury and 2% supporting the Arbitrum Developer Guild.
ARB is an ERC-20 governance token used for voting on ArbitrumDAO proposals. It currently does not represent on-chain asset ownership, nor is there a mechanism for directly capturing Arbitrum revenue. Standard Chartered noted that a slowdown in the tokenization process, competing blockchains, and ARB's lack of a direct value capture mechanism are the main risks facing this forecast.
