Strategy plans to change STRC dividend to daily distribution, maintaining 12% annualized dividend rate for November

Odaily News: According to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing, Strategy announced that the November regular dividend annualized rate for its floating rate Series A perpetual preferred stock STRC will remain at 12%. The company's board of directors also announced plans to distribute cash dividends on a daily basis from November 1 to November 30, with dividends corresponding to each record date to be paid on the next business day, totaling $1 per share for November.

The daily dividend plan must meet two conditions: shareholders approve the relevant amendment at the special shareholders meeting on October 28, and the amended certificate of designation takes effect before 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on November 1.

If the conditions are met, the dividend originally scheduled for payment on November 15 will be canceled; if not approved, dividends will continue to be paid at the current semi-monthly frequency.

Strategy previously stated that management will recommend the board maintain the 12% annualized dividend rate until the STRC price stabilizes consistently around $100 per share.

Bank of Japan Governor: Will Continue to Raise Interest Rates as Underlying Inflation Approaches 2%

Odaily News: Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda stated that as the underlying inflation rate gradually approaches the 2% target and the current financial conditions remain accommodative, the Bank of Japan will continue to raise interest rates and gradually adjust its monetary easing policy.

Ueda pointed out that maintaining the stability of the 2% inflation target is becoming increasingly important. During this week's meeting, no views deviating from the Bank of Japan's basic assessment have been heard.

In addition, the Bank of Japan will continue to monitor the impact of a weakening yen, artificial intelligence development, and the situation in the Middle East on price trends. (Jinshi)

Sellers capitulate again, Glassnode says BTC sell-off above $80K may mark a local bottom

Odaily reports that Glassnode posted on X that seller capitulation appeared once again during yesterday's BTC decline. Each previous wave of loss-driven selling occurred at local bottoms, in early August, mid-August, and mid-September respectively. Since the September high, profit-taking has slowed. If this pattern holds, yesterday's sell-off just above $80,000 would mark a local bottom.

Strive Expands SATS Perpetual Preferred Stock Offering to Approximately $630 Million, Potentially Becoming the Second-Largest Publicly Listed Bitcoin Treasury Company

The preferred stock carries a 15% annual dividend rate and is expected to close around October 20, subject to the completion of the offering. Strive had previously planned to issue 5 million shares to raise approximately $500 million. Vaneck withdraws registration statement for Lido Staked Ethereum ETF, product never launched

Odaily News: Asset management firm Vaneck has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to withdraw the registration statement for the Lido Staked Ethereum ETF. The filing is dated October 14, 2026, and the registration statement never became effective, with no shares of the fund ever being sold.

The product was originally intended to hold stETH, the liquid staking token issued by the Lido protocol, rather than staking Ethereum directly through designated validators. Lido's total value locked currently stands at approximately $23.6 billion, down from $33.3 billion a year ago.

BlackRock launched ETHB in March 2026, which stakes Ethereum directly through validators, with net assets of $409.8 million as of March 31. (Bitcoin.com News)

CryptoQuant founder: MSCI-related risks have been priced in by the market, Wall Street remains broadly bullish on Strategy

Odaily reports that CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju posted on X that despite market attention on MSCI-related rule adjustments, Wall Street analysts remain broadly bullish on Strategy (MSTR).

Ki Young Ju noted that Citi, Barclays, and B. Riley have assigned MSTR price targets of $240, $175, and $195, respectively, with targets overall trending upward. He believes the MSCI-related impact is mainly reflected at the capital flow level and has already been priced in by the market.

He further stated that what is more noteworthy now is that Strategy's market-to-net-asset-value ratio (mNAV) relative to Bitcoin is approximately 1x, the STRC price remains near par value, and the company holds $3.75 billion in reserve funds to cover dividend payments.

Circle plans to expand into approximately 50 emerging and developing markets, with USDC circulation at about $73.3 billion

Odaily reports that stablecoin issuer Circle plans to expand into approximately 50 emerging and developing markets to meet growing demand for digital dollar payments in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

USDC circulation stands at about $73.3 billion, accounting for roughly one-quarter of the stablecoin market; USDT's market share is close to 60%, higher than that of USDC.

Circle's $400 million acquisition of Tazapay, the newly launched Arc blockchain, and its approval for a federal trust bank charter are expected to support its market expansion; a clearer regulatory environment is driving stablecoin adoption. (CoinDesk)
