Upbit's Parent Company Dunamu Proposes Improvements to Virtual Asset Inheritance Protection System

Odaily — Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, participated for two consecutive days in the 2026 National Assembly Legislative Expo held at the central lawn square of the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, setting up a booth under the slogan "Passing on the Value of Digital Assets Safely to the Next Generation." Dunamu proposed improving the virtual asset inheritance property protection system, with a focus on protecting users' virtual assets as quickly as possible after death and making it easier for heirs to locate the relevant assets. A Dunamu representative stated that the virtual asset inheritance process remains in a regulatory blind spot, and expressed hope that this policy proposal will serve as an opportunity to solidify the institutional foundation.
