The exchange said the attack targeted hot wallets, was quickly brought under control, and that it is currently investigating the incident, tracing assets, and coordinating with relevant authorities. Additional information indicates that entities associated with the Mercado Bitcoin hack currently hold approximately $46.5 million in crypto assets across 46 addresses, including about 3,677 ETH, about 106 BTC, and about $8 million in stablecoins.
