Salus: Tether has frozen 9 addresses related to the CoinDCX incident, involving approximately 2.21 million USDT
Odaily reports: Blockchain security firm Salus posted on X that Tether has blacklisted 9 addresses related to the CoinDCX incident, freezing a total of 2,212,850.30 USDT (approximately $2.2129 million). The freezing measure took effect on October 22 at 22:45:39 (UTC).
Salus stated that its investigators had previously discovered an anomalous transfer of approximately 15.99 million USDT and continued to track the splitting of related funds and their transfer to exchange deposit addresses. Subsequently, Salus raised questions based on the fund movements of Proof of Reserves (PoR) addresses and TRX distribution patterns, and the relevant on-chain evidence provided the basis for Tether to take freezing measures. Salus said it will continue to assist in the investigation of the incident and the recovery of funds.
