$100 million 5-year digital bond issued by Hana Bank, directly adopting Euroclear blockchain infrastructure

Odaily reports: South Korea's Hana Bank has issued a $100 million, 5-year foreign currency digital bond, directly utilizing the digital financial market infrastructure of Euroclear. This is South Korea's first digital bond issued directly using Euroclear's blockchain infrastructure.

The issuance, registration, and settlement of the bond are all processed on a distributed ledger network, with bond allocation and payment settlement shortened from 3 to 5 business days to same-day. Investors can trade the bond through existing accounts and trading systems via Euroclear's global settlement network. (Cointelegraph)
