一审胜诉,Bithumb判用户返还约14.5万美元误发比特币卖出款
Odaily Planet Daily News: South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb has won the first-instance lawsuit in its initial recovery case involving mistakenly sent Bitcoin. The court ruled that the user who held and sold the mistakenly sent Bitcoin must return approximately 194 million Korean won, equivalent to around $145,000. In February, Bithumb mistakenly distributed 620,000 Bitcoin as event rewards, valued at approximately $5 billion at the time. Bithumb subsequently initiated a recovery process and reported in March that 99% of the mistakenly sent Bitcoin had been recovered. This ruling is the first judgment among four lawsuits filed by Bithumb against users who failed to return the funds. The court's reasoning and whether the defendant will appeal have not yet been disclosed.
