CZ: Many people want to buy U.S. stocks or A-shares but can't, because they are unable to open an account
Odaily News: At a closed-door sharing session held in Hong Kong, Binance founder CZ stated, "Many people want to buy U.S. stocks or A-shares but can't, because they are unable to open an account. Most companies, after issuing stocks, often only target domestic investors. However, the reality is that it is extremely difficult for investors to open cross-border accounts."
Using Southeast Asia as an example, CZ noted that apart from China and the United States, most countries lack robust stock exchanges. "The entire Philippine Stock Exchange has a daily trading volume of 50 million U.S. dollars, roughly equivalent to the daily trading volume of one trader in New York." In such markets, companies can only seek listings in places like Hong Kong, but "once listed on the blockchain, you can trade with people globally."
