Vance Reveals Negotiation Details: Stalemate Due to Insufficient Iranian Authorization
Odaily News: U.S. Vice President Vance stated that the American delegation withdrew from negotiations after determining that the Iranian negotiators lacked the authorization to finalize an agreement, adding that any progress now depends on approval from Tehran's leadership. He said, "I think we did learn something about how the Iranians negotiate, and that ultimately is why we left Pakistan, because we found, I think, that the team that was there at the time could not make a deal, they had to go back to Tehran and either get the Supreme Leader's approval or someone else's approval to accept the terms we were offering." Vance emphasized that Trump remains open to establishing a more normalized relationship with Iran as long as key conditions are met. However, he stated that for Iran to become a normal country economically, it must first become a normal country that does not pursue nuclear weapons and also a normal country that does not engage in "terrorism."
