This allows AI agents to directly query indexed Base blockchain data and pay per request with USDC, eliminating the need for API keys, account registration, and manual approval processes. It is reported that the SQL API is also the first service to access the Coinbase Developer Platform via x402, with more native infrastructure services for AI agents to be launched soon.

According to official news from Base, Stripe has launched the x402 payment feature on Base. This feature allows developers to charge AI agents directly using USDC.
