Odaily reports that Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stated in a post that the security team has preliminarily identified the source of the attack. Hackers breached a critical backend system of the wallet service and exploited it to forge transfer information and invoke the authorization signing process to move funds out. A private key leak has now been ruled out.
Gracy Chen stated that the loss has now been contained, and the platform faces no further risk of fund outflow. The specific intrusion method is still under technical investigation. Multiple technical teams are simultaneously working on system repairs, security hardening, and preparations for resuming withdrawals. The restoration timeline will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.
Odaily News: According to a compilation by community user Sea of Bitget CEO Gracy Chen's livestream response, the stolen funds from Bitget remain at approximately $351.6 million, with no further increase found so far, involving 19 hacker transfers, all from hot wallets and warm wallets, while cold wallets were unaffected.
Gracy Chen stated that the root cause of the incident has not yet been determined, but it has been confirmed that the hacker did not withdraw funds by forging user information, nor did they obtain wallet private keys. Instead, they breached Bitget's internal systems to initiate withdrawals. The platform has therefore suspended withdrawals and will not resume them until the security investigation is completed. The timing for resuming withdrawals cannot be determined yet—it may take as little as a few hours at the fastest, or possibly several days at the slowest.
Odaily News: Aerodrome's Slipstream V3 has gone live, introducing protocol-level internal MEV auctions to its concentrated liquidity AMM. The upgrade redistributes value captured by sandwich bots and arbitrageurs to active liquidity providers and sAERO holders, with the protocol expected to generate tens of millions of dollars in related revenue. This version also introduces dynamic fees that automatically increase when market volatility intensifies, and retains Uniswap V3's concentrated liquidity design, achieving capital efficiency up to 4,000 times that of traditional AMMs. Aero plans to merge Aerodrome on Base and Velodrome on Optimism into a single AERO token, and to launch on Ethereum mainnet in Q2 2026. Aero Lite has already launched Slipstream pools on Circle's Arc, and Dromos Labs is developing pool-level fee rebates and KYC options for institutional clients.
Odaily reports: LayerZero Labs co-founder and CEO Bryan Pellegrino posted on X platform that KelpDAO has filed a civil claim lawsuit against him and LayerZero. Bryan Pellegrino stated that the claim is baseless and that he will face them in court in Vancouver to defend himself.
It is reported that in April of this year, KelpDAO suffered a hack resulting in losses exceeding $292 million. The attacker used social engineering tactics to compromise a LayerZero developer account. Because KelpDAO employed a "single-verifier" configuration, the target contract executed asset release upon receiving only a single valid signature, leading to the theft of rsETH.

Odaily News: The Hyperliquid Policy Center and wallet developer Phantom have submitted a comment letter to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), arguing that developing on-chain infrastructure protocols and code is not equivalent to providing regulated financial services, and that protocol developers should not be regarded as financial intermediaries.
The comment letter states that self-custodial, code-based on-chain markets require a modern regulatory framework, and recommends providing regulatory clarity, promoting the reshoring of innovation to the United States under CFTC oversight, and preserving users' ability to self-custody their assets.
Odaily News: Crypto KOL Ansem posted that he is increasingly bullish on Solana DeFi and believes it is one of the most underestimated trading opportunities this cycle.
Ansem stated that in the previous cycle, meme coins attracted most of the market's attention, while protocols such as Jito and Jupiter were still in the early stages of their token lifecycles at the time. Today, Solana's core infrastructure landscape has become clearer, and low fees, fast execution, and continuously growing on-chain trading volume have further reinforced this trend, with retail investors, institutions, and tokenized equities continuing to migrate on-chain.

Odaily news: Bitget spokesperson Xie Jiayin stated on X that the platform's security system detected abnormal transfers from some hot wallets at 2:31 a.m., and immediately activated its emergency response mechanism.
According to Bitget's disclosure, the initial assessment indicates that the incident involves approximately $351.6 million. Bitget stated that within minutes of the incident, it activated an emergency response team and flagged and reported the addresses involved in the abnormal transfers. At the same time, for the sake of fund security, the platform has temporarily suspended withdrawals, which will be restored in an orderly manner after the security review is completed. Deposits and trading functions are currently still operating normally.
The platform also said it has notified law enforcement agencies and on-chain security firms to intervene in the investigation.

Odaily reports that Cathie Wood's ARK Invest has announced the tokenization of its approximately $1.3 billion ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) through Securitize, marking the first fund under ARK to be officially brought on-chain.
ARKVX is an actively managed fund with an investment scope covering private and public market technology companies. Its current portfolio includes companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, and Databricks. The tokenization will not change the fund's investment strategy; rather, it will move existing fund shares onto blockchain infrastructure.
The tokenized version will be deployed on Ethereum and made available to eligible investors through Securitize. Securitize will be responsible for fund issuance, investor onboarding, and the related on-chain infrastructure.
ARK Invest founder and CEO Cathie Wood stated that tokenizing the ARK Venture Fund is a practical implementation of the company's assessment of the future evolution—even "revolution"—of capital markets. She believes that tokenization has the potential to fundamentally change the way investors participate in private and public financial markets.
