Today's Hot Topic: GIWA "Mainnet" Confirmed to Be a Fake Chain, Related Fake Bridge Has Rugged and Moved Over 766 ETH

Odaily reports that GIWA officially confirmed that the previously circulated so-called GIWA Mainnet is a fake chain set up by scammers, and warned users not to use any unofficial RPCs, bridges, or contracts, or transfer funds to related addresses until further notice.

Reports indicate that after false information about the bridge and RPC was spread within the DYOR group, DYORSWAPDEX deployed related markets, followed by funds bridging in and buying $FAKER.

On-chain tracking information shows that the fake bridge has collected over 766 ETH so far. The funds were first transferred to an address ending in 4134, then moved to addresses ending in 6b60 and 3da4, and are still continuing to move.

GIWA stated that it has contacted professional security teams to track on-chain fund flows and is preserving evidence including chat records, RPC information, bridge addresses, and transaction records. Eligibility determination, loss verification, and compensation scope will be announced after the investigation is completed. Projects using OP Stack need to verify whether the Rollup contract on the Ethereum side is authentic and confirm whether the RPC comes from the official website or a trusted partner.
