Uniswap v4 Aggregation Feature Goes Live, Aggregator Hooks Can Wrap External Liquidity as v4 Pools

Odaily reports that Uniswap Labs has announced the launch of Aggregator Hooks, bringing aggregation capabilities to Uniswap v4. The mechanism uses Hooks to wrap external liquidity sources as v4 pools and is now live on the Uniswap web app and API, covering Ethereum mainnet, Base, and Robinhood Chain. On the first day, it supports 7 external sources including Curve, Fluid, and PancakeSwap, with more networks to be added gradually. Per-block routing will fetch the latest quotes from integrated sources, build the optimal path between Uniswap pools and external sources, and settle within a single transaction without requiring new approvals; the related swaps will incur a protocol fee, which will be used for UNI burning.

ZachXBT Warns Users to Withdraw Assets from CoinDCX, Calls Co-Founders "a Bunch of Clowns"

Odaily reports: "On-chain detective" ZachXBT issued a warning to users, stating that if they value the security of their assets, they should withdraw all funds from Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX. He accused CoinDCX's co-founders of previously denying that a theft had occurred in both public and private communications, only to later disclose an incident involving approximately $16 million in stolen assets, arguing that the exchange failed to transparently disclose the situation to the public in a timely manner.

ZachXBT also stated that CoinDCX's co-founders are a bunch of clowns who run the exchange like a circus. This is not the first time CoinDCX has encountered such problems, and he included other Indian centralized exchanges such as WazirX and BitBNS in his criticism as well.

DFINITY Founder Accuses NEAR Intents of Using Its Proprietary Cryptography

Odaily reports: DFINITY founder Dom posted on X stating that further investigation revealed that a key component used by NEAR Intents involves DFINITY's proprietary technology, and accused NEAR of unauthorized use of technology results licensed exclusively for the Internet Computer. Dom stated that the technology in question involves the threshold ECDSA algorithm used for cross-chain asset custody and transaction signing, which can increase signing speed to approximately 3 times that of other solutions; he also alleged that NEAR deployed the technology on 8 servers, failing to achieve the decentralization and security it advertises.

Dom also stated that GitHub records show NEAR has recently been attempting to downgrade the algorithm to a solution approximately 3 times slower, and believes this move may be related to its concerns about the use of the technology. He stated that the matter involves potential legal liability, believes that DFINITY and the ICP community have been harmed as a result, and hopes both parties can resolve the dispute. The above content currently constitutes unilateral accusations by the DFINITY founder, and whether the use of the technology constitutes infringement, as well as whether NEAR has the security and decentralization issues alleged, remains to be further verified.

CoinDCX Security Incident Under Scrutiny: User Deposits Flowed into Undisclosed Wallet, Nearly Equivalent Funds Transferred Out

Odaily: Onchain Lens posted on X questioning CoinDCX's so-called hack incident, stating that CoinDCX may have undisclosed fund anomalies—user deposits had flowed into a wallet that was not included in the relevant fund accounting, after which nearly equivalent funds were transferred out; some funds were also moved through less common cross-chain bridge entry points and services, indicating abnormal pathways.

Onchain Lens further pointed out that some funds suspected to be related to CoinDCX hot wallets flowed through over-the-counter (OTC) services and mixing platforms, and questioned that the CoinDCX team still denied the occurrence of a security incident even after multiple researchers and on-chain investigators presented relevant evidence.

DWF Labs: Bitcoin Spot ETF Fund Flows Lag Behind Price Action, Making Future Trends Hard to Predict

Odaily: In a research report released on Thursday, DWF Labs pointed out that daily fund flows of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs are poor predictors of Bitcoin's subsequent price movements, as investors tend to buy after prices rise and withdraw funds when prices fall. The study covered 694 trading days since the launch of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024: in the 8 instances where Bitcoin's price dropped by 15%, net ETF outflows occurred 7 times; while in all 9 instances where prices rose by 15%, net inflows occurred. DWF Labs concluded that ETF fund flows are more of a confirmation of market trends rather than a leading indicator.

Data shows that the correlation coefficient between same-day ETF fund flows and Bitcoin price changes over the previous 5 trading days was 0.54, but the correlation coefficient with price changes over the subsequent 5 trading days was only 0.03. Between October 2025 and February 2026, Bitcoin ETFs saw net outflows of approximately $6.9 billion, and during the market downturn from May to June 2026, net outflows reached approximately $8.2 billion. DWF Labs also noted that some ETF trading may involve hedging strategies that combine buying fund shares with shorting Bitcoin via CME futures, meaning fund flows do not directly reflect investors' true bullish or bearish positions. Vitalik novel-narrative Meme coin project Zipcoin announces closure

Odaily reports: Vitalik novel-narrative Meme coin project Zipcoin has announced its closure. The team stated that the project was affected by the UNCX incident on October 15, when hackers drained 1.1% of the total supply of tokens including PEPECOIN, EDGEN, ZC, X, LO0P, and PAAL on Ethereum, and the stolen tokens were subsequently sold off on the public market. At the time, the team chose not to disclose the incident and instead bought back tokens on the public market to cover the token shortfall originally intended for the team's subsequent commitments.

The team also stated that after lunch yesterday, they received a notice from Railway that the project's entire codebase had been compromised, including all related keys and private keys, potentially allowing attackers to control the project's wallets and infrastructure. After approximately 12 hours of attempting to migrate or rotate credentials, the team still could not find a viable secure operating solution. Since the associated wallets still hold approximately 2.2% of the total supply of tokens, the team will provide holders with a 6-hour selling window and plans to sell the remaining holdings and consolidate funds from associated wallets at 12:00 PM Eastern Time on October 22, to reduce the risk of assets being transferred by attackers.
