Odaily reports: 26-year-old crypto figure Adam Iza has been sentenced to 78 months in prison and ordered to pay $23.4028 million in restitution for hiring off-duty Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies to harass disputing rivals, defrauding Meta of more than $37 million, and concealing the proceeds through cryptocurrency custodians.
Adam Iza had previously been sentenced to 15 years in prison for attempted Bitcoin robbery. Between December 2020 and 2022, Adam Iza obtained Meta business management accounts and associated credit lines and resold them to advertising companies, causing Meta clients to be charged for ads they had not purchased.
