LNbits Urges All Users to Shut Down Servers Immediately as Multiple Instances Compromised

Odaily reports: According to monitoring by Bitcoin News, LNbits has issued an urgent security warning following multiple attack incidents, urging all users to shut down their servers immediately until critical vulnerabilities are patched. Operator @KevinR4 reported that attackers created new accounts and withdrew funds, causing losses of 2,285,545 sats over approximately 5 hours. He has committed to compensating affected BitTipBot users but stated that the relevant funds remain inaccessible until the vulnerability is fixed. LNbits said a security patch is expected to be released within 24 to 48 hours and called on users to forward the warning to anyone running LNbits instances.
