Cryptocurrency transfers and deposit/withdrawal suspended, deposits delayed, Mercado Pago and Nubank affected by system outages

Odaily reports: Mercado Pago, the payments arm of Latin American fintech giant Mercado Libre, notified users within its app on Friday that due to system instability, cryptocurrency transfers are temporarily unavailable and incoming deposits will be delayed, and that it is currently working to fix the issue. On the same day, Brazilian digital bank Nubank suspended cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals due to a failure at an external data service provider, but said other crypto services such as buying and selling remain normal, and that customer assets and information remain protected. Neither institution has confirmed whether the two outages share the same root cause.
