Throughput increased by approximately 40%, BNB Chain plans to migrate validators to BSC-Reth by the end of 2026
Odaily reports: On November 6, BNB Chain announced plans to migrate validators to the Reth-based BSC-Reth client by the end of 2026. Internal benchmarks show that after integrating Reth 2.5.1, BSC-Reth throughput increased by approximately 40% compared to the TrieDB-based configuration; block write latency (p95) stands at 71.6 milliseconds, a 34.9% reduction compared to BSC-Geth, and execution latency (p95) is 56.5 milliseconds, a 35.5% reduction. BNB Chain will evaluate supporting BEP-675 in BSC-Reth to extend block build time, and explore block-level access lists (BALs) and EVM2 with faster execution speeds.
