Binance Issues Security Alert: Beware of Scams During Withdrawal Service Restoration
Odaily reports that Binance has issued a security alert stating that withdrawal services are being restored in phases, and malicious actors may take this opportunity to carry out scams. They may impersonate Binance through direct messages, emails, group chats, or even in the memos of small transfers, claiming they can help you "speed up withdrawals," "prioritize processing," "claim compensation," or transfer your assets to a so-called "Binance vault." To protect your assets, please remember that Binance will never: proactively contact you to ask about your account or funds; offer or sell priority spots in the withdrawal queue; charge fees to unlock a network or asset; ask you to connect a wallet, sign an authorization, or transfer funds to "unlock" withdrawals; ask you to connect a wallet, sign or authorize any action, or transfer funds to "unlock" withdrawals; ask you to transfer assets to any "vault," "safe account," "custodial wallet," or address provided by others; send links for "eligibility verification," "status checks," or "compensation claims"; request your password, 2FA verification code, or mnemonic phrase; direct you to unofficial websites to check Proof of Reserves (PoR); or offer paid "asset recovery" services.
Do not connect your wallet or sign or authorize unknown requests at will. These actions may grant third parties permission to access or transfer your assets. Once a malicious authorization or transaction is completed, your assets may be at risk of theft, and the relevant on-chain transactions are usually irreversible. If your withdrawal is still being processed, please check the progress within the Binance App. Do not trust any individual or institution claiming they can speed up withdrawals for a fee, sell priority processing eligibility, or complete withdrawals earlier through other means.
