External DEX liquidity integrated into v4 routing as Uniswap launches Aggregator Hooks

Odaily Reports: Uniswap Labs has launched Aggregator Hooks, integrating external decentralized exchange quotes into its v4 routing system on Ethereum mainnet, Base, and Robinhood Chain within its web app and API. At launch, seven external sources are integrated; Uniswap claims this covers over 90% of DEX activity across supported networks, though it does not guarantee optimal execution for every swap. The routing engine can compare quotes block by block and settle swaps involving both Uniswap and external venues within a single transaction, without requiring additional token approvals for tapping external liquidity. Swaps routed through Aggregator Hooks can generate protocol fees that support UNI burning, and developers can integrate new routes via the Uniswap API; the actual impact on spreads and trading volume still needs to be verified through live trading.
