Tokenization and Superintelligence Included in SEC's FY 2027 Examination Priorities
Odaily reports: The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) published its examination priorities for fiscal year 2027 on October 23, focusing on areas including investment adviser fiduciary duty, retail investor protection, private funds and private credit, anti-money laundering, cybersecurity, and customer information protection. The SEC will also focus on the evolution of tokenization and related market infrastructure, as well as the impact of advanced technologies such as superintelligence on market operations, compliance management, fraud prevention, and investor protection. The SEC stated that the examination priorities are not an exhaustive list, and the examination division will adjust its examination direction based on market changes, investor concerns, emerging technologies, and developments in new products and services, and will require regulated entities to maintain compliance systems commensurate with their own business risks.
