Hunter Biden explains why he launched LAPTOP: intended to express an attitude, not expected to appreciate in value

Odaily News Hunter Biden, son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, posted on X to introduce his upcoming Meme coin LAPTOP, stating that the token aims to transform the negative symbolism surrounding the "laptop" incident into a symbol of "resilience, redemption, and recovery." Hunter Biden said that 20% of LAPTOP tokens will be airdropped to the community, including some users who suffered losses in TRUMP token trading; another 30% of tokens are linked to a preset real-world event prediction mechanism—if the corresponding events occur, the related tokens will be permanently burned, and if they do not occur, they will be donated to charity. In addition, regardless of the prediction outcomes, another 50 million LAPTOP tokens will be allocated for charitable purposes.

Hunter Biden also stated that users "should not expect me or anyone else to make this token more valuable," adding that LAPTOP is not just about holding an asset, but about expressing an attitude.
