Serenity: Apple unexpectedly becomes an AI infrastructure beneficiary, with OpenAI and Anthropic both using Mac devices
Odaily reported that "White-Haired Stock Guru" Serenity stated that Apple is unexpectedly becoming a beneficiary of AI infrastructure demand. OpenAI is reportedly stockpiling tens of thousands of Mac mini and Mac Studio units for reinforcement learning-related tasks, while Anthropic is also renting Mac mini devices from Amazon to carry out similar AI work.
Serenity also pointed out that Anthropic has begun collaborating with Raspberry Pi to develop new model hardware standards, but there is currently no news of OpenAI or Anthropic purchasing Raspberry Pi devices in large quantities for similar tasks. Serenity believes that some customers have switched to NVIDIA DGX Spark due to Mac's lengthy delivery cycles, which means Apple's advantage in related AI hardware demand may not be sustainable in the long term.
