Markets bet the Bank of England will not cut interest rates further this year

Money markets are betting the Bank of England will keep interest rates at 4% for the rest of the year, as signs of accelerating inflation and a more resilient economy weaken the case for further easing. Traders on Monday lowered their bets on another 25 basis point rate cut this year, with swaps implying a less than 50% probability of a rate cut, compared to the fully priced-in expectation earlier this month.
