Odaily News: According to monitoring by a U.S. State Department spokesperson, coordinated action by governments is crucial to countering North Korea's cyber activities. The U.S. State Department spokesperson called on all United Nations member states to enforce existing sanctions against North Korea, prevent North Korea from raising funds for its weapons programs, and stated that coordinated unilateral sanctions are a powerful tool for blocking the flow of funds for weapons proliferation. The spokesperson did not disclose whether the investigation findings have been shared with South Korea or whether bilateral consultations on additional sanctions have taken place.
