稳定币市场2万亿美元目标推迟至2030年,渣打称今年供应增长停滞
Theo Odaily, Geoffrey Kendrick, Global Head of Digital Asset Research at Standard Chartered, stated in a report on Wednesday that he still expects the stablecoin market size to reach $2 trillion, but due to stagnant supply growth this year, the expected timeline for reaching this target has been pushed back from 2028 to 2030. Over the past 12 months, stablecoin supply has roughly hovered between $300 billion and $320 billion, currently around $309 billion. The report noted that this year's average monthly on-chain transfer volume for stablecoins is close to $10 trillion, up from $4 trillion in 2025, with a single-month peak of approximately $19 trillion in May; the average monthly turnover rate has risen from about 15 times in 2025 to about 30 times. USDT's average monthly turnover is about 7 times, mainly used for USD savings in emerging markets; USDC's average monthly turnover has increased from about 45 times to about 80 times, more used for payments, financial transactions, and early AI-to-AI payments.
