UniSat Partners with Utexo to Advance USDT Integration into the Bitcoin Ecosystem, Unveils Three-Phase Integration Roadmap
- Core Viewpoint: UniSat has unveiled a three-phase plan to bring USDT to the Bitcoin network, partnering with Utexo to advance USDT integration based on the RGB protocol, with the goal of making USDT a practically usable stablecoin asset within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
- Key Elements:
- Phase 1: UniSat Wallet and UniScan will prioritize support for RGB protocol-based USDT, allowing users to send, receive, and manage USDT alongside native assets such as BTC, Ordinals, and Runes, with integration of the Utexo API to verify asset authenticity.
- Phase 2: Introduce USDT trading pairs on the trading engine UniHexa, enabling users to trade Bitcoin native assets with USDT and hold USD-denominated balances.
- Phase 3: Explore with developers the use of USDT in Bitcoin applications such as payments, financial services, and gaming, while highlighting the potential of AI agents.
- The current focus is on completing USDT integration for the wallet and UniScan, followed by advancing UniHexa trading support.
- The team plans to share technical experience in RGB and USDT integration with other wallets and development teams to reduce redundant development efforts.

Bitcoin ecosystem infrastructure service provider UniSat recently announced its phased plan to bring USDT to the Bitcoin network. The initiative, pursued in partnership with Utexo, aims to make USDT a stablecoin asset that can actually be used within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
According to official disclosures, the integration will unfold in three phases:
Phase 1: Wallet and Explorer Support
UniSat will prioritize support for RGB protocol-based USDT in its wallet product UniSat Wallet and its explorer UniScan. Users will be able to receive, send, and manage USDT, along with BTC, Ordinals, Runes, and other Bitcoin-native assets. At the same time, UniSat will integrate Utexo's API services to verify the authenticity of USDT assets.
Phase 2: Using USDT to Trade Bitcoin-Native Assets — UniHexa Product Support
After completing the wallet and explorer integration, UniSat plans to introduce USDT trading pairs into its trading engine UniHexa. Users will be able to use USDT to trade supported Bitcoin-native assets and hold USD-denominated balances between trades.
Phase 3: Beyond Trading — Expanding New Possibilities for Bitcoin Applications
Beyond wallet support and trading, UniSat says it will work with developers to explore the use of USDT in Bitcoin applications such as payments, financial services, and gaming, with particular mention of how automated programs (AI agents) may bring more possibilities and ideas when using USDT to participate in developing related applications.
According to official information, the current focus is on completing the USDT integration for the wallet and UniScan, followed by advancing UniHexa trading support, with specific progress to be announced as implementation proceeds. The team also plans to share its technical experience in RGB and USDT integration with other wallets and development teams to reduce duplicated development efforts.
