Odaily News: IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva warned that AI is having a disruptive impact on labor markets and tax systems, and policymakers need to rethink education systems and take immediate action to help society adapt to the changes. Speaking Monday at the debut of the IMF and World Bank annual meetings in Bangkok, Georgieva said: "It is a slow-moving tsunami, but it is still a tsunami." At a conference on AI's impact on employment, she said AI has already weakened demand for some human workers by replacing large numbers of repetitive, routine jobs, while also driving an increase in low-wage positions in industries such as construction — which she said "is not something to celebrate." Georgieva said this transformation will have profound implications for public finances, with the risk that AI could shift the economy from labor toward capital, thereby eroding government tax revenues, since labor income has traditionally been an important tax base. Odaily reports: South Korea's Financial Services Commission has announced companion amendments to the Electronic Securities Act and the Capital Markets Act related to securities tokenization. The public comment period will end on November 11, with implementation planned to align with the law's effective date of February 4, 2027.
The amendments propose expanding the scope of tokenization to traditional securities such as stocks, bonds, and funds, adopting a phased opening approach. The first phase will cover privately placed money market funds for institutional investors, privately placed bonds, trust-form unlisted stocks, and publicly offered fractionalized investment securities.
Publicly offered bonds and funds for retail investors will be gradually opened after assessing initial market operations and demand. (EToday)
Odaily reports that Xie Jiayin, Head of Bitget Greater China, posted on X sharing his thoughts from attending Token2049 Singapore. First, users are becoming increasingly professional and have begun to reverse-define products—demands such as options and strategy marketplaces to amplify capital efficiency were all raised by users; for institutions, the capital efficiency gains brought by tokenization are a core need. Second, the bubble is being cleared out, with projects beginning to de-tokenize—no longer relying solely on token issuance for marketing, but instead creating real value through payments, asset management, and brokerage services. Third, the industry is welcoming a clear regulatory framework, which will inevitably bring short-term pain, but in the long run, compliance and institutionalization will drive the industry to consolidate into mature financial infrastructure.
Odaily News: a16z has released the seventh edition of its Top 100 Consumer AI Apps ranking. ChatGPT continues to hold the top spot, with monthly active users on mobile surpassing 1 billion; Claude's web version has risen to third place, with monthly visits approaching 1 billion.
For the first time, this ranking added a revenue ranking, alongside the web and mobile traffic rankings. Among them, by monthly revenue, the top five are OpenAI, Anthropic, Canva, Superhuman, and Higgsfield. Because Gemini's revenue cannot be reliably separated from Google's other consumer businesses, Gemini was not included in the revenue ranking.
a16z noted that compared with the first edition of the ranking three years ago, which mainly consisted of chatbots and image generation tools, consumer AI apps today have expanded into multiple fields including coding, music, design, voice, video, agents, and smart hardware.

The company expects to fund the acquisition using existing cash and proceeds from the sale of its Solana assets. Additionally, the SkyAI board of directors has rejected an unsolicited non-binding all-stock acquisition proposal from Forward Industries (FWDI). The proposal sought to exchange each SkyAI share for 0.306 shares of Forward Industries stock, but the SkyAI board believes the stock-swap proposal undervalues the company.
Odaily News: 10x Research has stated that Bitcoin options prices have dropped to five-year lows, with near-month implied volatility at 33.5%, more than 4 percentage points below realized volatility, indicating that options are relatively cheaply priced.
Over the past week, Bitcoin options skew has declined by nearly 3 percentage points, with traders concentrated in buying October-expiry put options at strike prices of $78,000 and $80,000, with single block trades reaching as high as $204 million. 10x Research believes this indicates that investors on the whole still hold long positions while hedging downside risk through options, rather than fully turning bearish.
By contrast, the Ethereum options market is showing different signals. Its largest corporate buyer has indicated it will stop buying within weeks, options trading is dominated by call sellers, and implied volatility is higher than realized volatility.
