Odaily: Yi Lihua posted on the X platform that in a choppy market, both long and short trades will face wear and tear and problems, requiring overcoming greed and controlling trading frequency. In a bull market trend, one should not short on pullbacks; sticking to opportunities with higher certainty is enough to achieve annual targets. With the midterm elections approaching, Trump faces an unfavorable situation, and whether one or two seats are lost, greater volatility will follow.

Odaily: Meta has announced an agreement with CEO Mark Zuckerberg to issue sellable non-voting shares to him, intended to cover potential tax liabilities amounting to billions of dollars should the California wealth tax proposal pass. In exchange, Zuckerberg has committed to residing in California or at Meta's headquarters location for 8 years. Zuckerberg previously stated that he was considering leaving California if Proposition 40—a ballot measure scheduled for a vote next month that would impose a one-time 5% wealth tax on California billionaires—were to pass. Zuckerberg's net worth is approximately $240 billion, and he would be able to immediately sell 20% of the Class C shares granted, equivalent to 10% of his economic interest in the company, while retaining voting control. Meta will issue new non-voting Class C common stock in January 2027, effectively equivalent to a 2-for-1 stock split.
Odaily: Coldcard hardware wallet manufacturer Coinkite and its co-founders Rodolfo Novak and Peter D. Gray are facing a class action lawsuit in Ontario, Canada. The lawsuit alleges that the standard firmware used by Coldcard hardware wallets since around March 2021 has a fundamental flaw: instead of using a true random number generator, it relies on a predictable software pseudo-random number generator, which could allow mnemonic phrases to be reproduced and puts users' Bitcoin holdings at risk of unauthorized access. The lawsuit seeks class certification and claims that Coinkite violated the Consumer Protection Act and the Sale of Goods Act, while also involving allegations of negligence and breach of contract, and seeks damages.

When asked by reporters whether he had given up on negotiating with Iran, Trump replied: "No, I think we are not currently negotiating. Regardless, there will ultimately be a result, and it will be clear very soon." He added: "Most people seem to think this will wait until after the election—we'll see." He was referring to the upcoming U.S. midterm elections. Trump also said: "But I have to say, what we have done on the Iran issue is very remarkable." (Jinshi)
