CZ: User Withdrawal Wave May Persist After Binance Attack, but Some Funds Have Started Flowing Back
Odaily Report: CZ said in an interview that after Binance suffered an attack and completed repairs, some users chose to withdraw funds due to internal institutional policies or concerns about security issues, but most of the funds did not flow to other centralized trading platforms; instead, they moved into self-custody wallets. He pointed out that self-custody also carries risks, as losing or damaging mnemonic phrases can both lead to asset losses. CZ also said that fund flows after the attack may continue to fluctuate in the coming weeks or even months, but within less than 24 hours, the platform had already seen net hourly fund inflows. He also called on the crypto industry to increase investment in security, introduce more AI security tools, and advised retail investors to strengthen asset security management.
