As Midterm Elections Approach, Trump Issues "$1 Million Bounty": Report Past Election or 2026 Midterm Election Fraud for a $1 Million Reward

Odaily Report: According to The New York Times on the 26th, Trump asked voters to support Republicans in next week's elections, frequently dangling financial incentives as bait and issuing unfounded warnings about voter fraud. Trump wrote on a social media platform that day: "Any person who reports voter fraud in past elections or the 2026 midterm elections will receive a $1 million reward once the fraudulent actors are arrested and convicted."

The White House did not immediately respond to questions about where the reward funds would come from and how Americans should report fraud. According to the Associated Press, Trump and U.S. Vice President Vance announced on the 20th the launch of a $25 million "fraud whistleblower incentive program," aimed at encouraging the public to report suspected fraud targeting the U.S. federal government and its programs, and at stepping up efforts to curb abuse of federal programs and funds. When announcing the news, the White House said individual rewards would be capped at $30,000, while Trump said the reward could be calculated at 1% of the fraud amount. (Global Times)
