Odaily News: Meta Platforms (META.O) stated that it plans to raise funds through a stock offering to support investments in artificial intelligence, with the financing scale slightly raised from $95 billion to $97.5 billion. Meta said on Tuesday when announcing the pricing arrangements for the stock offering that it would increase the size of its common stock offering from $22.5 billion to $25 billion. According to the plan first announced on Monday, Meta also intends to issue approximately $12.5 billion in Series A depositary shares and raise up to $60 billion through an "at-the-market" program.
The announcement released on Tuesday also showed that Meta has granted the underwriters of the common stock and depositary share offerings an option to purchase an additional approximately $5.5 billion worth of shares; this means that Meta's final total financing amount could reach approximately $103 billion.
