Fed Chair Warsh: Task Force to Hold Hearing in November, Focusing on AI's Economic Impact
Odaily News: Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said on Friday that the Fed's Task Force on Productivity and Employment will hold an in-person hearing on November 16 in the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on topics including the economic impact of AI. Warsh announced the arrangement during the IMF annual meetings in Bangkok. He said the task force will conduct in-depth research into the impact of artificial intelligence on economic activity and the job market. In June of this year, Warsh established five task forces composed of external experts to separately study key areas of monetary policy making. He previously said he expects these task forces to submit policy recommendations to the Federal Reserve around the end of this year. Warsh did not comment on monetary policy or the U.S. economic outlook on this occasion. (Jinshi)
