Odaily News: According to multiple people familiar with the matter, venture capital firm a16z has laid off most of its portfolio talent team. The team previously had 34 members and was primarily responsible for providing talent recruitment support to portfolio companies. The report states that a16z plans to reassign the remaining members of its "Full Stack Talent" team to specialized investment divisions such as growth investing and cryptocurrency, with each division building its own team based on its needs rather than relying on a centralized recruiting team.

Currently, all members of the team are still listed on a16z's official website. An a16z spokesperson declined to comment. (Axios)
